The men who guard
the compound are a welcome male presence in the lives of the
children. The guards play soccer and other outdoor games with the
kids. This man is our driver. When he is not driving, he
helps with the children. Just before this picture was taken, he
gave the baby his bottle. |

that the caregivers are holding the babies. All our
children have a lot of one on one time with the caregivers, and
the babies receive constant attention.The child lying on the couch is
recovering from a very serious bout of illness and is in fragile
condition. The woman sitting next to her with the kerchief
on her head is her personal attendant 24 hours a day during this
critical recovery phase. |
